How to Use SynthID Detector

The public SynthID Detector lives at synthid.com. This page is an independent walkthrough so you can check media correctly, read results carefully, and know when a daily quota becomes a bottleneck.

Before you start

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in at synthid.com

Open https://synthid.com and sign in with Google, OpenAI, or Apple — whichever options the official site currently offers.

  2. Upload your media

Submit the image, video, or audio file you want to verify. Follow on-screen format guidance. Avoid unnecessary re-exports before checking.

  3. Read the result

Note whether SynthID was detected, not detected, or inconclusive. Save a screenshot or export notes if you need an editorial or brand audit trail.

How to read common outcomes

Result Practical meaning
Detected File appears to carry a SynthID watermark from a supported system. Still verify context before publishing strong claims.
Not detected No SynthID found. Does not prove human-made content.
Unclear Needs more context — provenance, source questions, other signals.

When the daily limit gets in the way

Spot checks are free on the official tool. Newsrooms, brand reviews, and agencies often need more than ~10 files in a day, plus a structured report. That is the gap our optional Batch Report ($9.99) and Quick Guide ($4.99) address — workflow and documentation help, not a fake local clone of Google’s engine.

Payments may still be email-order until Stripe is live: upgrow.us@gmail.com.

Run a free check now on the official detector, then come back here if you need batch documentation.

Disclaimer

This is an independent how-to. We do not operate Google’s SynthID Detector and are not affiliated with Google. UI, login options, formats, and quotas can change — trust the live official product over this page when they differ.
